Every four years IUGG and its associations hold a General Assembly.

The IAG uses these general assemblies to present the work performed, to review the structure of the IAG, to appoint new officers and to organise a suite of symposia.

The XXV General Assembly of the IUGG will take place in Melbourne, Australia, June 27 to July 8, 2011 and the ÖGK has decided to contribute with a collection of research papers of Austrian institutions related to geodesy.

These papers have now been published in the "Österreichische Zeitschrift für Vermessung und Geoinformation (VGI)" , volume 2/2011.

The 10th Austrian Day of Geodesy took place in Schladming between October 6th and October 8th 2009. During a public session of the Austrian Geodetic Commission (October 7th, 2009) reports on the latest developments in geodetic research in Austria were presented.

The presentations has been published in the Österreichischen Zeitschrift für Vermessung&Geoinformation volum2/2010.
